 Each team member of a Volunteers in Mission team is expected to fund their own way. Funding can be direct payment by the individual, or raised through fundraising activities. Many churches will support fundraising activities to send members on VIM trips. Here are some fund raising ideas you might consider. Use your imagination. Bake sale Wash cars Hike/bike/walk for $/mile Donation banks Sponsorships Hire out work for donations Product sales Sponsorship yard signs Raffles Talent Shows Golf Tournaments Collect aluminum cans Auctions (Ebay or otherwise) Pancake supper
Money raised by the team member will be used to pay all travel costs and all living expenses while at the host area including food, lodging, and ground transportation. Extra expenses that may be incurred by the individual are meals while in transit, souvenirs, and snacks. |
