Adult Sunday School Opportunites

One of the best ways to meet people, grow in faith, and feel a part of our church is by attending one of the Adult Sunday School classes.

We have classes for all ages and stages which meet at the same time as our children and youth classes.

This brochure has been prepared to help you get a feel for each class we have in our church. I would like to suggest that you pick two or three classes to visit before you decide which class “fits” your needs.

Our Visitation Committee will help you meet the people in each class, and you will be surprised at how welcoming and friendly each class actually is.

Each one of these classes is regularly studying the Bible and sharing in the lives of each member through continuing support, prayer, service, and fellowship times.

At First United Methodist Church, Canyon we design our Sunday School classes to help participants relate to God and to be transformed by the word and message received each Sunday.

Join us on our faith journey by attending one of our Adult Sunday School classes.

“The Uprising”
Our time together usually includes food, games, worship, small groups, discussions, and Bible study. Our focus is to know the Love of God, and then share that Love with others.
There are small groups during the week to get involved in, including a Worship Team, as well as a Bible Study.
We are also active outside the church walls with mission trips, ski trips, retreats, and many other opportunities to grow in our relationships with God and with each other.

Kid's Kingdom
Kid’s Kingdom Opportunities: Nursery – 6th Grade

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me.” (Matthew 19.14). Our congregation believes that God is at work in the lives of children and we provide opportunities for them to learn more about God’s love and to share His love with others by giving of their time, talents, and gifts to glorify God.

Children’s Ministries provides Kid’s Kingdom on Sunday mornings at 9:30 – 10:30 for children two years old to Fifth Grade. A nursery is available for younger children.

We offer After-school Bible studies for Third, Fourth, and Fifth Graders on Wednesdays during the school year.

Also, Wednesday Evenings are filled with fun and excitement as the children three years to forth grade, participate in the Praise Teams Activities. Fifth and Sixth graders meet together for Club 56 and have the opportunity to use their gifts and talents in ministry.

A Nursery is provided for all church related activities for any child Fifth grade and under.

I would like to invite you to come and experience God’s awesome wonders with the children of First Church. Please let me know if there is any way that I can assist you in making this your church home.

Interim Children’s Minister
