PRESCHOOL CLASSES - PROFESSIONAL PRESCHOOL TEACHERS

THE PRESCHOOL TEACHERS HOLD PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHING CERTIFICATES. Our goals are that your child will be completely ready and successful in kindergarten. Assessments are done periodically and reports given to you so that you can see the success your child is achieving.

YOUR CHILD MUST BE COMPLETELY POTTY TRAINED
TO ENROLL IN OUR PRESCHOOL CLASSES!

Objectives are met through:

• Learning Centers - Small group learning is ideal for a classroom setting. Dramatic play, art language, large motor skills, letter games, manipulatives, math, science, and more are all apart of the learning centers.
  
• Incorporated Activities include: Art, music, games, reading books and storytelling, math skills, science skills, puppetry.
  
• Phonetics and Letter Recognition - Your child will further their ability to identify and write the D'nealian alphabet as well as recognize and write their name.
  
• Math and Science Skills - Your child will expand their knowledge of recognizing and writing numerals 1-10, one-one correspondence, sorting, matching, graphing, and measuring with manipulatives. Nature exploration and observation of science experiments will be a part of the science curriculum.
  
• Bible Lessons - Lessons from the Bible are taught and an emphasis on scripture memorization is an important part of our curriculum.

 

SPECIALIZED INSTRUCTION

Music Classes - A music teacher will be teaching music to your preschool child. They will experience many different types of music, music movements, as well as musical instruments. Of course, singing will also be a big part of this class.

Library Time - The church librarian will teach library skills to all 4 /5 year olds. They will have an opportunity to check out books each week. Story time will also be a part of the library time.

Computer Class - Children have an opportunity to go to a computer technology room learning beginner computer skills.

Ages 3 yrs to 5 yrs old - 1 program per year
*Kinder-Tot (Teams of Tomorrow)-Fundamental & Creative Ball Handling Skills.
Registration available through 'In His Hands Office. 45 minutes

Ages 3 yrs to 5 yrs old-2 program per year
*Lone Star Ballet - 45 minute of Quality instruction with Lonestar Ballet instructors

  3 Day Class Tues/Wed/Thurs 8:30– 11:30

  (Your child must be 4 years old as of September 1, 2010 to attend these classes.)

  3 Year Old

  5 Day Class Monday – Friday 8:30– 11:30

  3 Day Class Tues/Wed/Thurs 8:30– 11:30

  (Your child must be 3 years old and potty trained as of

  September 1, 2010 to attend these classes.)

  Extended Care Hours

  Preschool & Extended Care to 2:30 p.m. 7:15 – 2:30

  Preschool & Extended Care to 6:00 p.m. 7:15 – 6:00
