Sunday/June 29 - Headin' Home
No time for breakfast, darn it, it had been so good before. We are on our way to the airport at 6:00 am. Yet we still have to wait in a significant line. Our flight is much delayed, at first the crew is running late to make up from a late arrival last night. Then a passenger fails to show up, so with the new FAA rules, they have to unload all the luggage until they identify that persons and remove it. We already start wandering about making our connection in Dallas. I look around and all the "yellow shirts" are snoozing!
When we get to Dallas, we are rushed through customs and escorted to our gate. Of course they held our plane, I am sure they didn't want to deal with new connections for 17! The flight to Amarillo was uneventful, a rather anticlimactic end to an unbelievable trip.
I hope you were able to catch a glimpse of Costa Rica 2003. If you want to know more, ask any one of the team - we will bubble over with information. Pray about going, plan on continuing your support. Pray for the farm team, pray for our brothers and sisters in Costa Rica, pray for the new vision, pray that we will bring home some of the lessons we learned from these people. May we be content to not over structure or overfill our lives as we return to our community. May we be content in our riches….not incessant in our desires. Here's to the courage to capture the true meaning of life - pleasing God.
In His name,
Jane
