Backyard Mission is a local “mission” program for the people in Canyon. It enables the citizens of Canyon to help people in need, here in their own backyard.

Mission Statement:
1. Demonstrate God’s love by providing free home repairs for people in need-get people warm, safe and dry.
2. Give Christians and others the opportunity to put their faith into action by serving their neighbors.

Opportunities for participation:
1. Donate money or materials.
2. Help on our team-contact Backyard Mission.

How it works:
--Homeowners who need repairs done, but cannot provide for this need themselves, apply to Backyard Mission for help.
--Backyard Mission board will discuss each application.
--Backyard Mission will provide the volunteers and materials needed for the project.

Backyard Mission is open to all in need. It is operated out of First United Methodist Church in Canyon. It is not budgeted by FUMC and works solely off private donations. Donations should go to FUMC-Backyard Mission.
