What
are After-School Bible Studies?
These are fun learning classes offered to our 3rd, 4th & 5th graders. Registered
students will be picked up from school every Wednesday (same calendar as Praise
Teams). Children bring money for snacks and are taken to Wendy's, Taco Bell, etc…
on a rotating schedule. Then they return to the church for structured Christian
learning activities, field trips or service projects. Classes are dismissed at
5:30 pm in time for the Wednesday evening meal.
· 3rd Graders (Fall) "Learning
to Use Your Bible" is the theme. Lessons are extended during the Sunday School
time. Children are recognized and presented with personal Bibles during a Sunday
worship service. Francie Pittman is the leader.
· 4th Graders (Spring) "Oak
Street Chronicles" is a video series based on peer relationships and values.
Children also do service projects and focus on the residents of Golden Plains
Care Center. Francie Pittman is the leader.
· 5th Graders "Put on
the Whole Armor of God" is the theme. Students study Christian leadership
skills and participate in service projects. They also study the hymnal, learn
worship leader responsibilities, and begin to play the
